Newsletter Database

The Rock Island County Historical Society began publishing a newsletter  in June of 1966 to inform their members on Society business and historical topics within Rock Island County.  Topics in the newsletter have ranged from historical people, businesses, events, and organizations.  The Newsletter Database uses keyword searching to search the subject and article of the articles written in the Society's newsletter. Results displayed are ID, Subject, Article, Volume, Issue, and Publication Date.  

Newsletter articles that match your search results can be viewed at the Society, or can be requested for a fee of $2.00 per article.  Please send the fee with a SASE, and a letter stating your copy request . The newsletter article request fee will be used to help cover the cost of preserving our collections, and for the time used by our staff members to complete your request. For each article requested, staff members will pull out each individual newsletter, scan the article requested, and print the scanned pages, which will take up approximately 10 minutes per article requested. 

Current newsletters will posted on the Society's homepage the month proceeding their publication, for two months only.
