Vertical Files

For over 50 years volunteers at the Rock Island County Historical Society have collected newspaper articles, advertisements, and paper memorabilia relating to the history of the Rock Island County.  These items comprise the Vertical File Collection, which is the largest collection at the Society.  Located in the middle of our Research Library, the Society's Vertical File Collection fills 30 file cabinets with approximately 8,000 files on county history.
