Historical Society Friends
The Historical Society Friends Luncheons was founded by Phyllis Witherspoon, Joyce Hanna, and Kathryn Felsman as a way to create interest in the Society,
through the presentation of historical programs. Lunches were held on the third Monday of the month, except for July and August, for a minimal cost. All luncheons were open to the public, with the the proceeds going towards the purchase of items for the Society as approved by the Friends. The Historical Society Friends first luncheon was held on April 15, 2002 at the Deere-Wiman Carriage House, Moline, Illinois.
Due to Covid the Historical Society Friends Luncheons have been suspended for the 2020 and 2021 year, but we hope to offer the luncheons once conditions improve to be able to host these events.
